COLLEGE OF MOUNT ST. VINCENT
HISTORIC PRESEVERATION
The Administrative Building (Smith Hall) is individually listed by the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission and is also on the National Register of Historic Places. It is on the campus of the College of Mt. Saint Vincent in Riverdale, NY. The building dates from 1857-59 and is an early example of the Romanesque Revival style in NYC.

The dormers, slate roof, and built-in gutters needed to be assessed via a boom lift and restored after a violent storm uprooted a large tree and damaged the building. We prepared the assessment report and measured drawings with recommendations and specifications, and obtained approval from the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission. As with all of our projects, we performed construction administration services entailing hands-on field inspections during the construction phase.
